Christo Grozev to Join Bellingcat Productions

Bellingcat is pleased to announce that Christo Grozev will take on a new role within Bellingcat Productions, Bellingcat’s media subsidiary, to help develop a new range of documentaries, feature films, podcasts and more.

Christo recently appeared in the film “Navalny“, which was produced by CNN Films and has been short-listed for the Oscars and nominated for a BAFTA. Christo will now help translate many more of Bellingcat’s award-winning investigations into a range of exciting new media products. “The experience with the Navalny documentary shows the possibilities, through artful conversion to visual media, for Bellingcat’s investigations to reach new audiences and achieve much greater impact. We want to do this consistently with our major research investigations, and I am thrilled to be part of this process”, Christo said.

Christo will leave his current role as Executive Director at Stichting Bellingcat to focus on Bellingcat Productions, with the remaining executive team continuing the important work of the foundation. Christo will continue to be involved with Russia-focussed investigations, as he has been for a number of years.

Bellingcat Productions was founded in 2021 and already has several exciting documentary projects in the pipeline.
